Teaching Philosophy

  • Creativity is a pathway to joy. Students are encouraged to be creative with music, and will learn to become refined in their artistic expression.

  • Lessons will provide students strong foundation of technique, theory, and performance ability.

  • Individualized learning styles. Some students thrive with specific instructions, some enjoy the pressure of performances, some like open ended creative tasks. At Joy Music, there is something for everyone.
